Gazprom has been running the Gazprom Classes project since 2014. The project aims to provide early career guidance to pupils in the regions where the Company's subsidiaries operate, as well as to motivate the most able and successful pupils to achieve professional fulfillment and subsequently provide them with employer-sponsored targeted education in relevant educational institutions so that they can get professions that are in high demand by the subsidiaries.
The aim is achieved through improving the quality of education and providing targeted career guidance, along with support throughout the learning cycle, at schools and universities.
Project objectives
- promoting the importance of the engineering profession among pupils and developing early career focus on engineering jobs;
- imparting to pupils the history, corporate culture, and development prospects of Gazprom and its subsidiaries; introducing them to the oil and gas industry; and exploring different aspects of occupations and professions in high demand by the subsidiaries, including by involving educators from Gazprom's partner universities;
- motivating pupils for future employment at subsidiaries; retaining young professionals in the regions where the Company's subsidiaries operate;
- improving the quality of teaching to make pupils competitive for entrance exams at universities, including Gazprom's partner universities;
- training pupils in technology as well as under additional programs focused on labor education; and
- providing an enabling environment in which pupils can develop their creativity, grow as persons, choose a profession, and fulfill their professional potential, through shaping their core competences.

Throughout the school year, the pupils of Gazprom Classes learn about the history, corporate culture and development prospects of Gazprom and its subsidiaries, study oil & gas industry, get acquainted with the aspects of the professions and trades that are currently in demand, and explore the research and material & technical resources available at Gazprom's partner universities.

The subsidiaries of Gazprom, which played an active role in establishing Gazprom Classes, organize team-building and career guidance training sessions, as well as sports and cultural events for the pupils.
At Gazprom Classes, boys and girls take active part in the events aimed at the development of creative and research potential, such as contests of projects, tournaments, conferences, exhibitions, and academic competitions.
