Taking part in the event were more than 1,000 children from various social institutions based in Moscow and the Moscow Region, such as boarding school No. 17, the Family and Child Support Center of the Northeastern Administrative District of Moscow, A Child's View charity foundation for the development of children with disabilities, specialized comprehensive boarding schools Nos. 108 and 73, the Taganka Children's Fund, the Chernobyl Union of Russia, the Natalie children's theater and historical costume studio, the Welcomed Children Center for psychological and pedagogical family support, and other institutions.

In the lobby, every child could take a picture with a cheerful life-size puppet, “try on” a colorful New Year-themed face-painted mask and take a twisted balloon figure as a gift.

Before the performance, the young spectators took part in the theater troupe's entertainment show featuring Father Frost, Snow Maiden, Totoshka the Dog, and Old Lady Shapoklyak. The children answered challenging quiz questions, learned new merry songs and chants, and then went to watch a New Year fairytale show entitled "The Know-Nothing Wizard."

The main character of the fairytale was the Know-Nothing Wizard who had not done well at the wizard school and, accordingly, the main spells always slipped his mind. As a result, he made things so complicated that only the young spectators with the help of Father Frost were able to sort everything out.

At the end of the event, every child was given a New Year's gift.
