Lukomorye musical for socially disadvantaged children
January 11, 2014
Gazprom traditionally holds New Year charity campaigns for children in need of social support. On January 11, 2014 the Izmailovo concert hall in Moscow hosted yet another New Year holiday event for socially disadvantaged children. The children were shown the Lukomorye (Curved Seashore) musical based on fairy tales by Alexander Pushkin.

Musical show begins!
Before the musical started, the children were offered an entertainment program in the concert hall lobby. Everyone could take part in funny games and contests together with Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost), Snegurochka (Snow Maiden) and the well-known fairy tale heroes or turn into one of the Lukomorye characters with the help of talented face painters.

Entertainment program before start of musical show
The Lukomorye musical performers reproduced an astonishing world of ancient Russian fairy tales, filled with kindness and wisdom. Spectacular staging, wonderful music and lively dances of the professional ballet were warmly welcomed by the young audience.

Nobody left without a traditional New Year gift: at the end of the holiday event every child received a book and a treat bag.
