Skating event on Epiphany holiday

January 19, 2023

On January 19–20, 2023, a skating event timed to mark the Epiphany holiday was organized by Gazprom for socially vulnerable children from boarding schools, children's homes, as well as large and low-income families. The skating event took place at the ice rink in the Flagshtock (Flag Pole) public space.

Father Frost and Snow Maiden, elves, Hare, as well as Panda and Polar Bear life-size puppets greeted children at the largest panoramic-view ice rink in St. Petersburg.

The dashing Hare in ski goggles showed the young visitors his virtuoso jumps on ice, and the athletes of the Flagshtock Ice Rink performed a show including figure skating elements, gave dancing master classes and held a flash mob for everyone.

The festive event was organized and conducted by the volunteers of Gazprom's comprehensive social project Friends of St. Petersburg. The volunteers greeted and accompanied children, handed out presents, skated together with the boys and girls, and helped those who did not feel confident on ice.

A total of 250 children took part in the happy festive event.

At the end of the skating event, every child was given a sweet gift.
