Cheerful life-size puppets from the Buff Theater welcomed the children in the lobby, and the young guests enjoyed posing for pictures with them.

All children were offered face painting so that they could have a fantasy New Year's Day-themed design applied on their faces and were given a balloon toy made just on the spot as a gift.

Before the performance, the young spectators took part in the theater troupe's entertainment show featuring Father Frost, Winter, and Snowman. The children answered challenging quiz questions, learned new merry songs and lively dances, and then went to watch a performance entitled “Father Frost's Miracles.”

In the dreamland of Lukomorye the little spectators accompanied by the Wise Cat, Buratino, Neznayka, and Little Red Riding Hood thwarted the evil plans of Envy and Melancholy and made their way to a happy festive carnival.

At the end of the festive event, every child was given a New Year's gift.

Over 1,000 children from boarding schools, children's homes, orphan asylums, and other social institutions located in different Russian cities took part in this entertainment event.
