In 2010 Zenit won the Championship of Russia and the Cup of Russia – for the first time in its history Zenit managed to do it the same year. The Zenit Football Club took home two international trophies – the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup. Independent analysts estimate that 15 million fans root for Zenit in Russia and abroad. The Club's chairman of the board is Elena Ilyukhina.

Gazprom is also the sponsor of the women's team of FC Zenit and the Zenit Academy.
