Due to epidemiological restrictions, the rally changed its geography and passed through Russia only. The Silk Way International Rally 2021 had its ceremonial start in Omsk. The racers covered over 3,500 kilometers to reach the finish line in Gorno-Altaisk.

Winners in the off-road vehicle category:

• 1st place: Guerlain Chicherit, Alexandre Winocq (France);
• 2nd place: Denis Krotov, Konstantin Zhiltsov (Russia);
• 3rd place: Jérome Pelichet, Pascal Larroque (France)

Winners in the truck category:

• 1st place: Dmitry Sotnikov, Ruslan Akhmadeev, Ilgiz Akhmetzianov (Russia, KAMAZ-Master);
• 2nd place: Siarhei Viazovich, Pavel Haranin, Anton Zaparoshchanka (Belarus, MAZ-SPORTauto);
• 3rd place: Anton Shibalov, Dmitry Nikitin, Ivan Tatarinov (Russia, KAMAZ-Master).

Winners in the moto category:

• 1st place: Matthias Walkner (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing);
• 2nd place: Skyler Howes (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing);
• 3rd place: Franco Caimi (Hero Motosports Team Rally).

Winners in the quad category:

• 1st place: Aleksandr Maksimov (Russia);
• 2nd place: Rafal Sonik (Poland).

The gas-powered KAMAZ driven by Sergey Kupriyanov made it to the top ten in the truck category, finishing seventh.

Russian crew of Sergei Kariakin and Anton Vlasiuk won in the T4 category.

Jean-Luc Pisson-Ceccaldi and Jean Brucy finished first in the T3 category.
