We made it!
The Olympics are over. For two and a half weeks the history of sports was unfolding in front of our eyes. We witnessed glorious victories and limp defeats; we saw new stars rising high and the true legends coming down.
We rooted with all our hearts for our national team. It was not once that we were happy and proud for them. We felt so glad for our champions in figure skating, short track, skeleton, bobsleigh, snowboard, biathlon and cross-country skiing. And of course, it was sad to see our hockey team go.
Our athletes won 2 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals at the Biathlon and Ski Complex built for the Olympics by Gazprom. And we are very proud that our efforts are alloyed with these medals.
We’d like to thank everyone, who was engaged in this great sports celebration – athletes and fans, institutors and volunteers, hospitable Sochi natives and friendly visitors of our country. Together we created these awesome Games. And the more pleasant it is to realize that Russia topped the final medal count. We made it!
