Gazprom to expand its cooperation with Belarusian industrial enterprises

RELEASE

A number of documents for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation were signed today between Gazprom, the Government of the Republic of Belarus and Belarusian industrial enterprises at St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2024.

The activities envisaged by the documents will contribute to further strengthening of the ties between Russia and Belarus in the industrial and fuel & energy sectors.

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Viktor Karankevich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The document provides for the designing of hi-tech products of Belarusian make, including import-substituting ones, for the needs of Gazprom, and launching the output of such products.

Viktor Karankevich, Alexey Kushnarenko, Alexey Miller, and Alexander Drozdenko

Alexey Miller, Alexander Drozdenko, Governor of the Leningrad Region, and Alexey Kushnarenko, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The parties will elaborate the matters related to the manufacture, supplies and service maintenance of equipment offered by Belarusian enterprises for its use in gas infrastructure expansion projects in the Leningrad Region.

In the presence of Alexey Miller, an agreement of intent was signed between Gazprom Helium Service and MAZ, the managing company of BELAVTOMAZ holding.

The companies will explore the opportunities for their joint work as regards supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for the automobile plant.

At present, Gazprom Helium Service is considering an option to build an LNG production complex in the territory of the Great Stone Industrial Park in Belarus. In its turn, MAZ is planning to expand the batch production of LNG-powered cargo vehicles.

St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2024 is being held at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre on October 8–11.
