The Arts Festival is taking place on April 8–12. The event has brought together more than 100 employees participating in the amateur ensembles of both companies who have presented performances full of vivid national atmosphere.
Apart from that, the event participants from Russia took a closer look at the Chinese culture.
Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, sent his greetings to the Festival's participants and guests. His message reads:
“This year, Russia and China are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationships between the two countries. It is especially important to note that the interaction between our countries is based on the principles of good neighborliness, equality and mutual respect.
Strategic cooperation between Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corporation serves as a great example of such approach. The companies have a successful dialog in many areas and pursue joint long-term projects. In addition to our cooperation in the energy industry, for many years, we have been holding the Arts Festival together. It helps us take a deep dive into the rich culture, history and century-long traditions of our great countries.
The years 2024 and 2025 were announced as the bilateral Russia-China Years of Culture. In this respect, the Gazprom and CNPC Arts Festival is an important platform for creative communication. Art is an integral part of life. It inspires and unites people, while opening up new horizons for them. We are proud that we held this colorful and significant event together with our friends from CNPC. The Festival symbolizes our mutual aspiration to further promote our cooperation for the strengthening of the friendship between our peoples.”
In addition, an exhibition marking the International Day of Human Space Flight and the Russian Cosmonautics Day is being held at the Festival. The exhibition displays photos and videos devoted to the history of space exploration from the collections of the Samara Region's museums.
