Documents for advancing the manufacture of domestic motor vehicles, as well as special-purpose and construction machines were signed today at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2023.
An Agreement of Cooperation was signed by Alexey Miller and Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ.
The parties agreed on the supplies of new models of large-sized suburban and intercity buses to serve the needs of Gazprom. All of these vehicles will be natural gas-powered.
The buses will be used for the transportation of employees to the working places that are located considerably away from the available public transport infrastructure.
It is planned that KAMAZ will produce and in a stepwise manner deliver to Gazprom's subsidiaries 400 NGVs until 2029.
A prototype of the NEFAZ-5222 suburban bus produced by KAMAZ is on display at SPIGF 2023. The bus is equipped with a fuel system that runs on compressed natural gas and has a designed passenger capacity of 41 persons.
The KAMAZ-62501 mobile workshop truck powered by LNG is another prototype of the machinery produced by KAMAZ which is currently on display at the Forum. The truck model, which was custom-made for Gazprom, is designed for deployment at facilities that are located considerably away from stationary repair bases.
A number of documents were signed in the presence of Alexey Miller.
Gazprom and Galich Mobile Cranes Plant signed an Agreement of Intent. The plant is going to start the production of the first-ever Russian truck crane with a lifting capacity of 100 tons. The machine will be used for construction and repair operations at the Company's facilities. A prototype of the mobile crane is to be delivered to Gazprom for testing in 2024.
Gazprom and Cognitive Robotics (Cognitive Pilot, a subsidiary of Sberbank and Cognitive Technologies) signed a Long-term Cooperation Agreement.
Cognitive Robotics will develop a driver assistance system based on artificial intelligence that can be used in Gazprom's corporate vehicles.
It is expected that the system will consist of an on-board neurocomputer and video cameras for installation in a car. The video cameras will record road traffic situation and send the data to the on-board computer, which will analyze the incoming data and, if necessary, inform the driver.
