Gazprom and Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyz Republic sign Memorandum of Cooperation

A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Taalaibek Ibraev, Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2023.
The parties discussed the readiness of the Republic's gas transmission and distribution systems for the operation in the autumn/winter period. It was noted that Gazprom Kyrgyzstan has implemented all required technical measures at the relevant facilities.
Alexey Miller and Taalaibek Ibraev signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the development of the gas sector in the Kyrgyz Republic. The document is aimed at promoting long-term interaction between the parties in the gas sector, as well as at exploring the possibilities of cooperation in the power generation sector.

St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2023 is being held at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 31 to November 3.
Gazprom Kyrgyzstan, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, is an exclusive importer of natural gas to the Kyrgyz Republic and the owner of the Republic's gas transmission and distribution systems.
In 2013, the Governments of the Russian Federation and Kyrgyz Republic signed the Cooperation Agreement in the field of natural gas transmission, distribution and sales in the Kyrgyz Republic.
