The northern overpass provides a direct exit from the Primorskoye Highway to the Lakhta Center, and the southern overpass goes in the opposite direction, i.e. towards Primorsky Avenue and Savushkina Street. The southern overpass also features a pedestrian walkway.

The new additions to the city's road infrastructure make it possible for the residents and guests of St. Petersburg to enjoy an easier and faster drive or walk to the Lakhta Center, including its new embankment with various urban improvements. The embankment has walkways and leisure areas, as well as designated areas for bicycle riding, roller skating and riding scooters.

“Today, we have opened a new transport artery: the direct travel route to the Lakhta Center.

Our target has always been and still is to make the space of the Lakhta Center highly functional, comfortable and welcoming.

The residents and guests of St. Petersburg can now enjoy a great sea view from Lakhta Center's embankment, which itself is built in accordance with the St. Petersburg traditions, as is evident from its cladding of Baltic granite.

The territory of the Lakhta Center has already become a major attraction; it is a very popular recreational place among the residents and guests of the Northern Capital. And I am very pleased that fast and easy routes to get here are available now,” said Alexey Miller.

“Gazprom is our reliable partner. The Lakhta Center is the here and now of St. Petersburg. It is not only business infrastructure, but also another step forward in urban improvement and creation of public spaces,” said Alexander Beglov.
