Gazprom and Kazakhstan expanding cooperation in gas transmission

A working meeting of Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, with Almasadam Satkaliyev, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Sanzhar Zharkeshov, Chairman of the Management Board of NC QazaqGaz, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2023.
The parties reviewed the state and prospects of their cooperation with regard to gas supplies, processing and transmission.
In the course of the meeting, Alexey Miller and Sanzhar Zharkeshov signed the Contract for the transmission of Russian natural gas across the Republic of Kazakhstan for the consumers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Background
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2023 is being held at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 14 to 17. This year's main theme is ”Sovereign Development at the Basis of a Just World: Joining Forces for Future Generations.”
In January 2023, Gazprom and the Government of Kazakhstan signed the bilateral Roadmap for cooperation in the gas sector.
