Gazprom and Russian Ministry of Labor agree on cooperation

Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, today signed an Agreement of Cooperation in Sochi as part of the Russian Labor Safety Week 2022.

The first-ever Agreement between the parties is aimed at carrying out joint actions and advancing information exchange, as well as promoting methodological and sci-tech collaboration on labor safety issues.

Under the Agreement, Gazprom and the Russian Labor Ministry plan to, inter alia, address digitalization issues in the area of industrial safety, improve the labor protection management system, and formulate proposals for developing new regulatory documents concerning labor safety in the oil and gas industry.

Gazprom is currently undertaking a full-scale digitalization of its industrial safety management systems. The corporate digital platform, which will also consolidate risk management and occupational safety measures, will be subsequently integrated with state digital platforms.

Background

The Russian Labor Safety Week 2022 is taking place from September 27 to 30, 2022, in the Sirius Park of Science and Art, Sochi. The event organizer is the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation. Gazprom is participating in the event as a strategic partner.

The Year of Occupational Safety held by Gazprom in 2016 was recognized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation as an innovative project and received the highest assessment at the National Competition Health and Safety 2016.
