In accordance with the program, Gazprom will provide gas supply to nine rural communities and villages in the Agryzsky, Almetyevsky, Atninsky, Aznakayevsky, Verkhneuslonsky, and Zelenodolsky Districts, as well as to the territory of the prospective Bolshoy Zelenodolsk project located to the west of Kazan. As many as 7,400 households and 13 boiler houses will gain access to network gas. As part of the program, Gazprom will build 11 inter-settlement gas pipelines.

In addition, conditions for connecting new consumers to gas will be created in Kazan and eight districts – Agryzsky, Almetyevsky, Laishevsky, Leninogorsky, Menzelinsky, Sabinsky, Vysokogorsky, and Zelenodolsky. For this purpose, Gazprom will reconstruct two gas pipeline branches together with the Almetyevsk and Yubileynaya gas distribution stations (GDSs). The Company will also reconstruct and re-equip four GDSs, namely, Topasevo, Dubyazy, Tersi, and Shugurovo, and build two connection gas pipelines, one between the Bishnya and Klyuchi GDSs (Zelenodolsky District) and the other between the Shemordan and Izmya GDSs (Sabinsky District).

Alexey Miller and Rustam Minnikhanov also signed an agreement to expand the use of natural gas as a vehicle fuel in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The document is aimed at implementing a set of measures to increase the use of cost-efficient and eco-friendly fuel in road transport, as well as in waterborne and railroad transport.

For instance, Gazprom will consider the possibilities of implementing construction projects for new gas filling stations. The Government of the Republic of Tatarstan will work to create conditions for converting the region’s vehicles to natural gas and increasing the use of gas filling stations.

The list and timing of specific measures will be set out in the relevant roadmap.
