It was noted that hydrocarbon feedstock processing is strategically important for Gazprom. With a view to ensuring that extracted gas is used as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible, the Company systematically expands its active processing facilities and builds new ones.

The Comprehensive action plan, which was approved in 2022, is aimed at maintaining further technological development of Gazprom's processing complex, improving energy efficiency and environmental safety at processing facilities, and providing advance training for personnel.

During the implementation of the Comprehensive plan, special focus is put on the introduction of hi-tech Russian equipment, digital solutions, automation systems and advanced control methods, as well as on the increase of processing depth. One of the key activities under the Plan is the elaboration of the development and efficiency improvement program for Gazprom Pererabotka for the period until 2050.

The efforts carried out by Gazprom to move the processing sector forward and master the manufacturing of high-value-added products contribute to strengthening the domestic research & industrial potential and obtaining new competencies, primarily in the machine building industry, as well as giving Russian regions additional incentives for social & economic growth.
