Gazprom and St. Petersburg State University of Economics sign 2017–2019 research program

Oleg Aksyutin, Member of the Management Committee, Head of Department of Gazprom, and Igor Maksimtsev, Rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Economics, today signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2017 the 2017–2019 program for research and development (R&D) in the interests of Gazprom.
The document was inked in the presence of Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom.

Pursuant to the program, the St. Petersburg State University of Economics will carry out R&D activities aimed at expanding sci-tech and human resource development at the Company.
The program is expected to produce, among other things, a concept for Gazprom’s cooperation with regional job centers and educational institutions in order to meet the Company’s future demand for employees in the long term. It is also planned to prepare unified solutions on advancing innovative activities across Gazprom’s subsidiaries.
Background
The St. Petersburg State University of Economics is one of Gazprom’s twelve core universities. The University is entitled to prepare a targeted R&D program in the interests of the Company.
