The agreement provides for the implementation of a joint innovative project aimed at modifying standard gas compressors to improve their productivity and energy efficiency by using a methane-hydrogen mixture as a fuel, as well as other projects within the framework of the Gazprom Innovative Development Program until 2025.

Gazprom holds patents for methane-hydrogen fuel production and use registered in such countries as Russia, South Korea, and Japan.

The partnership between the companies will also contribute to the expansion and diversification of the natural gas-based product line and to capacity development in Russia’s gas turbine industry.
