Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk – winner of 11th Spartakiada games in team event

The Orlenok All-Russian Children’s Center hosted today the closing of the 11th Summer Spartakiada Games of Gazprom. The competition participants and guests were welcomed by Vladimir Markov, Member of the Management Committee, Department Head of Gazprom, Sergey Altukhov, Vice Governor of the Krasnodar Territory and Alexander Koryakin, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar.

The Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk team won in the team event among the adult teams. The Gazprom Mezhregiongaz team were the runners-up and Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg took the third prize.

In the junior age division the best result was demonstrated by the Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk team. Young athletes from Gazprom Transgaz Moscow took the second place and the Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk team became third.

Background
Gazprom annually holds Winter and Summer Spartakiada Games. The events take place in the regions where Gazprom’s subsidiaries operate. The Spartakiada Games are held for the employees of Gazprom’s subsidiaries and organizations, as well as for children active in sports clubs of Gazprom’s subsidiaries and organizations.
Members of Russian national teams, participants of zonal competitions, national official events and championships, European and global events and championships as well as Olympic Games are not permitted to take part in the competitions.
The main aims of Gazprom's Spartakiada Games are promotion of healthy lifestyle, sharing the experience in physical training and mass sports as well as maintaining sports traditions.
27 adult and 16 children's teams from 27 subsidiaries and organizations of Gazprom took part in the 11th Summer Spartakiada Games of Gazprom held in the Tuapse District of the Krasnodar Territory.
