Winners of Fakel Festival Grand Prix announced in Sochi

A fancy gala concert held in Sochi on May 22 wrapped up the final round of the 6th corporate Fakel Festival among amateur creative teams and performers from Gazprom’s subsidiary companies and organizations.
At the final Fakel performance the jury announced the winners of the Festival’s highest award – the Grand Prix. The Grand Prix in the age group from 5 to 10 years was awarded to the Flamingo duet of Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg, from 11 to 16 years – to the Volzhskiye Zori (Volga Dawns) folk dance studio of Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan and the United Beat dance team of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta. The adult category Grand Prix went to the Muzyka Serdtsa (Music of the Heart) dance group of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk.

Igor Tkachenko, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar awarded a special prize from the Festival organizers to a four-year-old Ayzilya Khidiyatullina from Gazprom Transgaz Kazan.
Delegates from France and Germany also awarded the Festival participants. Elena Krylova, representing Gazprom VNIIGAZ in the Young Painter contest for children of 7 to 13 years of age, held within the Festival, won a trip to Germany and a visit to the Dresden Picture Gallery for the most outstanding drawing. The French delegates granted a visit to the Grand Opera de Paris to Ziliya Vafina and Ignat Izotov from Gazprom Transgaz Kazan for the best vocal performances.
A total of 135 concert pieces were performed in Sochi in the following nominations: pop & instrumental groups, instrumental, choreography, vocal, circus & and variety and magic, folklore.
41 performers and groups as well as ten participants of the Young Painter contest received diplomas of the first prize winners. The most part of highest awards went to the Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk and Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan creative teams – seven and five first-prize diplomas respectively. The absolute leadership of the Festival program and the Young Painter contest was established by Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg, which received fourteen awards, and Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy with thirteen awards.
Background
The final round of the 6th corporate Fakel Festival among amateur creative teams and performers from Gazprom’s subsidiary companies and organizations was held in Sochi (Krasnaya Polyana) from May 17 to 22, 2015. Taking part in the Festival were about two thousand guests and participants from 37 subsidiaries of Gazprom in Russia and Belarus as well as creative delegations from China, France, Germany, Slovenia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar was the organizer of the final round.
