Winners of Computer-Aided Design and Information Technologies Contest announced

The 15th Gazprom's annual Computer-Aided Design and Information Technologies Contest took place. 139 managers and experts from 40 Gazprom's subsidiaries and affiliates participated in the contest.

Doing theoretical task

In the Best Computer-Aided Design Expert nomination the level of mastering the 3D modeling technology was assessed as well as the readiness for solving design challenges. Yury Pasechnik (Giprospetsgaz) became the winner.

The first prize in the Best Information Technologies Expert nomination, where IT-specialists experienced in administering Microsoft Server 2012 or Microsoft Server 2008 competed, went to Mikhail Goch (VNIPIgazdobycha).

In the Best Project for Computer-Aided Design Technologies nomination the victory was gained by Giprogaztsentr with their project called Program for Designing the Profile and Specifications of Gas Pipeline Route Using an Electronic Chart.

Background

Gazprom's Computer-Aided Design and Information Technologies Contest has been held since 2000 under the auspices of the St. Petersburg branch of Corporate Institute of Gazprom Non-State Educational Establishment. The contest is aimed at sharing experience, distributing cutting-edge IT technologies, motivating personnel to develop and introduce promising projects, improving skills and encouraging creative initiative.
