Another three gas workers recommended for membership to Russian Writers Union

The Soyuz recreation center located in the vicinity of Moscow hosted the sixth annual literature workshop involving amateur writes from Gazprom. Its traditional organizers were Gazprom’s Information and Communications Department, Interregional Trade Union, Creative Association of Writers in the Gas Industry (non-profit partnership) as well as the Moscow City and Moscow Oblast Organizations of the Russian Writers Union (RWU).

Taking part in the workshop were about 40 writers from gas companies throughout Russia. For three days they had master classes with artists in word – poets and writers of the Moscow City and Moscow Oblast Organizations of the RWU.

As usual, the workshop participants were selected on the basis of a creative corporate competition of publications in the Literaturny Fakel almanac issued twice a year.

The workshop covered the following spheres: poetry, prose, publicism and photo art.

The master classes were presented by:

  • Vladimir Gusev, Chairman of the RWU Moscow City Organization Presidium, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Criticism and Prose Department, Gorky Literature Institute; prose writer and literary critic;
  • Vladimir Krupin, Co-Chairman and Secretary of the RWU Management Board, prose writer;
  • Ivan Golubnichiy, Secretary of the RWU Management Board, Chief Editor of the Moskovsky Literator newspaper, poet;
  • Vladlen Dorofeev, Chairman of the Artistic Association of Writers in the Gas Industry (non-profit partnership), prose writer and playwright;
  • Arseny Annenkov, the Information and Communications Department employee, PhD in Philology;
  • Viktor Akhlomov, photo artist, winner of four World Press Photo honorary diplomas.

Based on the workshop results, the following participants were recommended for membership to the Russian Writers Union: poets Irina Koroteeva, (Rostovoblgaz) and Svetlana Sevastyanova (Gazprom transgaz Surgut), prose writer Raisa Gavrilova (Angara Petroleum Company) and publicist Oleg Bargilevich (Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk).

The workshop was ended by a ceremonial awarding of the literature and photo corporate competitions winners. Young writers – winners of the corporate children’s and youth literature competition Podsolnushek were rewarded as well. The awarding ceremony was held at the Gazprom headquarters.

Age group 7–11:

  • Maxim Belov, 8 years old, Saratov – poem “What is Happiness?”;
  • Nastya Kulikova, 10 years old, Tomsk – poem “You are a Dream, a Beauty’s Caprice”;
  • Alyosha Semin, 7 years old, Yekaterinburg – “A Tale about Khryuk and Khryunya Seeking for Cleanness and Health”.

Age group 11–14:

  • Mikhail Larionov, 13 years old, Saratov – short story “Sonya”;
  • Sofya Golubtseva, 12 years old, Tomsk – poem “I am a Soul”;
  • Anna Larina, 13 years old, Moscow – “Dinner at the Merchant’s”.

Age group 15–18:

  • Kristina Tsareva, 15 years old, Saratov – poem “Everything will be Fine” and a collection of short stories;
  • Angelina Vyalkova, 15 years old, Tomsk – essay “Reflection”;
  • Victoria Naumenko, 16 years old, Tomsk – collection of poems.
