Helios sports center opened in Orenburg District

The Orenburg District saw the commissioning of the Helios sports center, which accommodates more than 400 people. It is comprised of two buildings located on 2,300 square meters and linked by a heated passage. A swimming pool with four lanes is located in one building, while sports and gymnastics rooms and a ping-pong room are in the other.

A subdivision of the Yubileyny children’s and youth sports school sponsored by Gazprom dobycha Orenburg operates in the sports center. It comprises swimming, football, ping-pong and volleyball sections. 150 children will be trained in this subdivision.

The Helios sports center was built as part of the Gazprom to Children program. The construction costs equaled RUB 238 million. Between 2007 and 2009 a total of 30 social facilities were built and reconstructed in the Orenburg region as part of the Gazprom to Children program. In 2010 Gazprom sponsored the construction of a stadium in the village of the Cherny Otrog and a modern sports center in the settlement of Saraktash.
