International Youth Boxing Tournament held in Nadym

Between November 28 and December 1, 2010 Nadym hosted the 10th traditional International Youth Boxing Tournament dedicated to the memory of Vladislav Strizhov, the first Director General of Gazprom dobycha Nadym.
Taking part in the fights were sportsmen from various countries: Finland, Israel, Mongolia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Bashkortostan. Russia was represented by boxers from Smolensk, Kaliningrad, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Tyumen as well as the Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs. The tournament gathered a total of 170 sportsmen.

The tournament was arranged and sponsored by Gazprom's Interregional Trade Union, Gazprom dobycha Nadym, administrations of the Nadym District and the Nadym city.

The following renowned boxers, Olympic, World and European Champions were invited to the tournament as the guests of honor: Vyacheslav Yanovsky, Alexander Lebzyak, Ozurbek Nazarov and Evgeny Makarenko.
