Meeting on Yuzhno-Russkoye field development held

Today, at Gazprom’s Headquarters, Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman, held a meeting on the Yuzhno-Russkoye field development. The meeting was also attended by heads of Gazprom’s core business departments involved in the Project.

The meeting decided to identify the Yuzhno-Russkoye field as the main feedstock base for delivering gas via the North-European gas pipeline. For this purpose, an order was given to synchronize preparation of business plans and provision of feasibility study for constructing the North-European gas pipeline and developing the Yuzhno-Russkoye field.

Gazprombank will act as advisor in raising finance for implementing the Project on the Yuzhno-Russkoye field development. The field will be developed based on the projected financing. The Yuzhno-Russkoye field will have a design capacity of some 25 bcm of gas per annum.

Background

The Yuzhno-Russkoye gas and oil field is located in the Krasnoselkupsk district of the YaNAR (Tyumen Region). The proved and probable gas reserves of the field are estimated at some 600 bcm. Severneftegazprom, a 100% Gazprom’s subsidiary, holds the license to explore and develop the Yuzhno-Russkoye field.
