PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit approved as Gazprom’s auditor for 2004
Under the Board of Directors’ recommendations, PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit was approved by Gazprom’s Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting as the Company’s auditor for 2004.
Background
PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit is the Russian branch of the PricewaterhouseCoopers International Group of Companies – one of the world’s leaders in rendering auditing and consulting services. The company renders its professional services in most countries of the world through a network of its international agencies.
PricewaterhouseCoopers started operating on the Russian market back in 1913 and, after a long period of absence, resumed its activities in 1989.
Gazprom and PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit’s cooperation began in 1995. In the meantime, PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit’s services rendered to Gazprom are as follows:
- auditing Gazprom’s (parent company’s) financial accounts pursuant to the requirements of the Russian legislation;
- auditing the Gazprom Group’s annual consolidated financial accounts filed in accordance with the requirements of the Russian legislation;
- auditing the Gazprom Group’s annual consolidated financial accounts filed under the International Financial Reporting Standards.
PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit is also the auditor of Gazprom’s major subsidiaries.
