News from projects and regions
On May 14 and 15, employees of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol brought Easter gifts to children at children's social institutions and students of Sunday schools of the Izobilnensky and Shpakovsky Municipal Districts of the Stavropol Territory.
Holiday gift sets were given to 450 children. A gift set containing an icon, an Easter cake, sweets, and a book of stories and poems devoted to the history of Russia was presented to each child at sanatorium boarding school No. 21 of the Podluzhnoye village, the Izobilnensky social rehabilitation center for minors of the Tishchenskoye village, children's home No. 4 of the Solnechnodolsk town, and children's home No. 13 of the Nadezhda village. The same gift sets were given to the students of Sunday schools at seven orthodox parishes of churches located in the Izobilny city, the Ryzdvyany and Solnechnodolsk towns, as well as the Moskovskoye, Ptichye, Rozhdestvenskaya, and Novotroitskaya villages.
But the main thing is that the gas workers entertained the children with a festive event to remember. The young performers of the Rodnichok (Small Spring) and Devichya Dusha (Maiden's Soul) folk song bands, the Novy Den (New Day) voice school and the Na Bis! (Encore!) drama school of the Palace of Culture and Sports of the company gave a concert. Sports instructors held fun relay races, and heads of decorative and applied art sections gave master classes on making Easter greeting cards.
“The children at our boarding school wait eagerly for every visit of this kind. When we declared at a school assembly that the Gazprom representatives would visit us on May 14, all the children cheered, 'Hooray!' right away. Our students have a limited social network; we rarely take any trips. That is why these visits are of great importance for us,” said Natalia Alyaninova, Director of sanatorium boarding school No. 21 of the Podluzhnoye village.
“The children remember all events held by the gas workers, because these events are very vivid, spectacular and captivating,” said Irina Gasinets, Deputy Director for pedagogical and rehabilitation work at the Izobilnensky social rehabilitation center for minors of the Tishchenskoye village, “but what is more important, the company's employees always exude kindness, understanding and dedication during their visits, and the children sense that.”
In their turn, the children warmly thanked the guests and gave them works of art created by themselves.
Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol's tradition of organizing charity Christmas and Easter events began in 2000. For the 25 years that this practice has been maintained, thousands of children have visited these events.
“Celebrations like these are a must for children without parental care and for vulnerable children,” highlighted Alexey Zavgorodnev, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol. “It is very important to develop spirituality in children and lay the groundwork for their morality, kindness, compassion, and love to other people.”
