Background

Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom supplying natural gas to consumers in northwestern Russia. The gas transmission system operated by the company stretches across Russia's northwestern areas from the Yamal Peninsula-based Bovanenkovskoye field and Baidaratskaya, the world's northernmost compressor station, to the country's central regions.

Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta's area of operation covers 16,000 kilometers of gas trunklines. In 2019, the company transmitted over 187.1 billion cubic meters of gas.

The company has 24 branches, including 14 gas pipeline operation centers, and 44 compressor stations with 89 compressor workshops. Gas transmission is performed by 442 gas compressors with a total installed capacity of 6,396.6 MW, while gas distribution is handled by 175 gas distribution stations.

The company employs upwards of 13,000 people. It is headquartered in Ukhta, Komi Republic.

The Gazprom for Children program is the Company's largest social project. Since early 2007, over 1,900 modern sports facilities have been built across the country, including more than 200 sports and health centers. The program covers 73 Russian regions. Today, these sports facilities are used by over 130,000 people.

As part of the Program, 40 sports facilities have been built or renovated in the Yaroslavl Region. Within the framework of the social partnership between Gazprom and the Region's Government, three sports and health centers are under construction: a center with a multi-purpose gym, a swimming pool and an ice rink in Yaroslavl, a center with a swimming pool and a multi-purpose gym in Pereslavl-Zalessky, and a center with a multi-purpose gym in the Nekouzsky District.
