News from projects and regions
Employees of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz have joined a charity project meant to help healthcare institutions involved in the fight against COVID-19, and have transferred their personal funds to the account of the Hospital for Veterans of Wars in St. Petersburg. The collected amount of about RUB 5 million will be used to procure the required medical supplies and equipment.
The Hospital was among the first in St. Petersburg to be converted for coronavirus patients. In addition, a remodeled area of the Lenexpo Exhibition Complex was handed over to the Hospital to treat patients with mild cases of COVID-19.
“Our colleagues – employees of the regional subsidiaries of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group based in Vladikavkaz, Ukhta, and Saratov – initiated the collection of funds for healthcare institutions amid the current epidemiological situation. We backed up this idea and joined the targeted assistance program in St. Petersburg. The employees filed applications, as a result of which certain amounts were withdrawn from their salaries and transferred to the Hospital for Veterans of Wars. We will continue supporting medical workers and healthcare institutions fighting the coronavirus. Our charity campaign will go on in other regions covered by the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group,” said Sergey Gustov, Director General of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz.
