Gazprom Transgaz Saratov has provided emergency charity support to healthcare institutions and medical professionals in Saratov as part of the #ThanksToDoctors nationwide campaign.
Funds have been allocated to supply the medical staff of Saratov Outpatient Clinic No. 17 with personal protective equipment and portable pulse oximeters – the medical devices widely used by the Clinic for diagnostic purposes.
The Regional Ophthalmology Hospital State Autonomous Healthcare Institution, which had been converted into a coronavirus treatment hospital, has been enabled to supply adequate nutrition for more than fifty of its medical workers who now have to stay on the premises 24/7.
Moreover, Gazprom Transgaz Saratov has backed up the initiative on implementing a large-scale project for building a new infectious diseases hospital in Saratov and made a monetary contribution to a special-purpose fund for the construction of a state-of-the-art healthcare facility much needed by the region.
Background
Gazprom Transgaz Saratov, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, is responsible for natural gas transmission from Western Siberia, Central Asia, the Orenburg Region, and three UGS facilities located in the Saratov Region.
The company is in charge of over 7,000 kilometers of gas trunklines and branches, 29 compressor shops, 165 gas compressor units with a total capacity of 1.3 million kW, and 216 gas distribution stations providing gas for about 4.5 million people in the Saratov Region and parts of the Tambov and Penza Regions.
Gazprom Transgaz Saratov adopted the ISO 14001 environmental management system and the OHSAS 18001:2007 occupational and industrial safety management system. The company employs around 6,000 people. It is headquartered in Saratov.
