On March 17, the Gazprom-Ugra futsal club won its fourth Russian Cup title in Yugorsk, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra.
In the final play-off game of the Russian Cup 2018/2019, FC Gazprom-Ugra played on its home turf against FC Tyumen. After a convincing victory, Gazprom-Ugra won the main trophy based on the results of two matches.
The trophy of the 2018/2019 season was a revamped Cup made of metal and marble.
The winners received their awards from Emil Aliev, President of the Futsal Association of Russia. “The final face-off between Gazprom-Ugra and Tyumen will justly go down in the history of national futsal. The teams have produced a spectacular and eventful game,” he said. Pyotr Sozonov, President of FC Gazprom-Ugra, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk, thanked the teams for the exciting finals and congratulated the Gazprom-Ugra players, their coach Temur Alekberov, and the fans on another achievement.
