Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod has acquired and installed special sensory and motor tools in a classroom for children on the autistic spectrum at School No. 134 in Nizhny Novgorod. On March 21, the company's employees together with the school's pupils completed the assembly of the classroom tools.

The project carried out at the secondary school is designed to improve the social skills of children with disabilities and to enable their further integration into society. Their education is based on inclusion, a method that makes education accessible to all, including children with special needs. A teaching space like the new sensory and motor room is a place where a child guided by a tutor or an educational psychologist can get new knowledge more easily, as well as recharge emotionally between classes.

“We have nine children on the spectrum at our school and all of them are placed in mainstream classes. It is notable, however, that they can't study without sensory relief. The special tools installed by Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod make it possible to create a sensory and motor space and to make our children more active and therefore healthy and happy,” said Anastasia Olisova, principal of School No. 134.
