On August 8, gas industry workers from Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol held an environmental quest as part of the #TogetherBrighter 2019 All-Russian Energy Conservation Festival.
The workers of the company's Izobilnenskoye Gas Pipeline Operation Center arranged the extensive environmental event together with the teachers and children from the social rehabilitation center for minors, which is located in the Tishchenskoye village in the Stavropol Territory. During the event, the children were told in an entertaining format about the main goals of the #TogetherBrighter 2019 Festival, which is being held around the country with the support from the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
Young professionals and ecologists from Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol, as well as invited journalists from the federal and regional media, joined the children in completing challenges in the course of the quest. All practical assignments were aimed at developing an energy saving culture and promoting sustainable consumption habits with respect to modern energy sources among the rising generation. The children from the social center assembled an electric circuit, learned about the rational use of household energy sources, participated in a flash mob, and enjoyed a creative workshop.
Following the environmental event, each child received a certificate of participation, a commemorative EnergyGenius medal, and a delicious gift.
“Events like this bring us closer together, teach children to be more responsible in their everyday life, help understand why it is so important to protect the environment and save natural energy resources,” said Tatiana Shubnaya, director of the social rehabilitation center, thanking the employees of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol for the implementation of the new joint project.
