On May 18, 2018, the staff of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov expressed support for the Bike2Work annual nationwide campaign. To almost 50 employees of the company’s head office in Saratov and over 250 professionals in the branch offices across the Saratov Region, this Friday marked yet another step toward a healthy lifestyle and environmental conservation.
The company’s cycling enthusiasts set several records in the course of the campaign, with the largest number of participants in the history of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov and a personal record of an employee who cycled almost 30 kilometers to his workplace. In the past year alone, the number of employees regularly using two-wheelers increased by more than a quarter.
“Thanks to the campaign, hundreds of the company’s employees are already enjoying the healthy and environmentally-friendly alternative to conventional transport. Following the lead of the Vernadsky Non-Governmental Ecological Foundation, our long-standing and reliable partner in environmental outreach, members of our team have improved their health and gotten active in dealing with environmental issues,” said Leonid Chernoshchyokov, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov.
