On July 8, the Rus recreation center in the town of Tchaikovsky hosted a regional rowing championship for kayaks, canoes and dragon boats. The competition involved nine teams from sports clubs based in the Perm Territory. The team of Gazprom Transgaz Tchaikovsky was represented by the company’s Corporate Security Service (CSS).
The CSS came out on top in the D-10 (10 rowers) standings in the 200- and 500-meter races.
“This is hardly the first time that we have won a regional competition. We have been champions before and we intend to repeat that achievement regularly,” said Sergey Chirkov, the crew’s captain and the CSS inspector.
