A new sports and recreation center built by Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod as part of the Gazprom for Children program was inaugurated on September 9, 2016, in the city of Ivanovo.
The opening ceremony was attended by the company’s executive management, local sports associations and ensembles, and Spartakiada Games participants from all branches of Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod. More than 400 performers and athletes took part in the event that night.
With its cutting-edge sports equipment, the sports and recreation center is perfect for personal workouts and team training sessions. The center can receive up to 500 persons daily.
“One can play competitive sports here: futsal, volleyball, basketball, and table tennis. Visitors will have a chance to master various martial arts, work out at the gym, and do aerobics and fitness,” said Mikhail Sysuev, Head of the Ivanovskoye gas pipeline operation center.
“Thanks to this center everyone will have the opportunity to improve their health and fitness. It will only produce champions!” said Arkady Bashkov, Deputy Director General for corporate security at Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod.
