The 9th international Warmth of Children’s Hearts festival took place on September 8–12 in Orenburg for children from orphanages and boarding schools. The festival is a part of the Gazprom for Children program.
The event was traditionally arranged and sponsored by the members of the Gazprom in Orenburzhye non-commercial partnership. The event budget totaled RUB 6.2 million.
The festival brought together 400 children from 19 children’s institutions of the Orenburg Region as well as the city of Uralsk (Republic of Kazakhstan).
The event was held by Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg at the Samorodovo year-round recreation camp and the Gazovik culture and sports palace. Taking part in the closing ceremony were another 150 children from 14 orphanages and boarding schools of the Orenburg Region, including the children of the Donbass refugees.
The Warmth of Children’s Hearts program consisted of a sports marathon, contests of artistic & applied arts, wall newspapers, a show of amateur art activities and also a competition in knowledge of the local history. In addition, the Rostok Nadezhdy tree planting campaign was held as part of the festival as well as the contest of chalk drawings on pavement, master-classes, discos and a bonfire. The swimming pool, all sports and creative grounds of the recreation camp were open for the children. Young correspondents were preparing reports for the festival newspaper and radio.
Each of the children’s institutions received a gift: sets of sports, computer or classroom equipment, and every little participant was given a sports suit.
Whole brothers Kolya and Sasha Yagolnikov as well as uterine sisters Nastya Pronko and Sveta Vakerova met at the festival. The children live and study in different orphanages.
