Corporate Fakel Festival in Belgorod ends in gala concert

Сorporate Fakel Festival among amateur creative teams and performers from Gazprom's subsidiary companies and organizations, held in Belgorod ended in a big gala concert at which Grand Prix winners were announced.
During three days the contestants presented 147 concert pieces to be approved by the jury in four main nominations: instrumental performance, choreography, vocal, circus & magic. The competitions were held in three age groups: children from 5 to 10 and from 11 to 16 years old, adults from 17 and older. The jury consisted of famous Russian performers and educators. Alexandra Permyakova, People’s Artist of Russia, Artistic Director of the Pyatnitsky State Academic Russian Folk Choir chaired the jury.
The Grand Prix of the Festival in Belgorod in the age group from 5 to 10 years was awarded to the Shurampus group (Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod), from 11 to 16 years – to Zilya Vafina (Gazprom Transgaz Kazan). The adult category Grand Prix went to the Ekspromt vocal & instrumental group (Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg).
“It was the first time for us to organize the Fakel Festival and looking at the happy smiles of our participants and guests I understand that we’ve been a success. On behalf of twelve subsidiaries of Gazprom which took part in the southern zonal round of the Festival, I’d like to thank the hospitable Belgorod land, the Regional and City Administrations as well as all the citizens for a warm welcome and cordiality,” said Vyacheslav Mikhalenko, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow.
Evgeny Savchenko, Governor of the Belgorod Region attending the Festival closing ceremony thanked Gazprom for presenting the Region with a celebration.
“Not only does Gazprom present us with a celebration, it also gives us a lesson of real corporate culture. It is a competitive company and its achievements are due to this kind of approach to its employees. They unlock the talents of those who work as well as of those growing up. I believe that no sanctions can scare us as long as there is such display of corporate culture and cohesion,” the Governor noted.
In addition, the Regional Head awarded the Audience Award from the Region – it went to the Gazprom Transgaz Moscow creative teams.
Fakel ended in a grand open concert featuring Russian pop stars in the city’s Cathedral Square.
