Gazprom Transgaz Samara sponsors tournament for Lev Yashin Cup

From October 16 to 19, 2014 the Olymp Stadium of Sukhodol settlement, Sergievsk District, Samara Region hosted the 15th annual football tournament of youth teams for the Lev Yashin Cup.
The competitions were opened by the honored guests: Dmitry Gerasimov, Chairman of the Samara Region Football Federation and Evgeny Getsko, veteran of the Krylia Sovetov professional football club. They wished the competitors a fair contest and successful performance.
Competing for the first place were ten teams from the Samara and Ulyanovsk Regions. The participating teams were divided into two subgroups with five teams in each. Only the winners got the right to fight for the grand prize. After the subgroup matches two Samara teams got through to the finals – Viktoriya and Krylia Sovetov. The final match decided the winner; the Krylia Sovetov team won three goals to nil.
After the final whistle an award ceremony took place in the sports complex. The winners were given tournament medals and cups, and all the participants received certificates of merit and prizes.

Gazprom Transgaz Samara is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom focused on natural gas transmission through seven Russian regions: the Samara, Ulyanovsk, Orenburg (locally), Penza and Saratov Regions as well as the Republics of Mordovia and Tatarstan.
