On May 31 and June 1, 2014 all the branches of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov hosted mass children’s holidays dedicated to the Children’s Day. Over two thousand children from the Saratov, Tambov and Penza Regions took part in sports competitions, environmental quizzes and cheerful celebrations with performances by entertainers and company’s amateur creative teams.
The volunteers of the Our Concern youth association jointly with the PR and Media Relations Service organized a charity celebration for the patients of the anti-tuberculosis health resort patronized by the company for ten years already. The young specialists directed the money raised by the subsidiary at the From Heart to Heart selling exhibition of children’s crafts to repairing six living areas and a playroom. The company’s volunteers organized a cheerful children’s party: a Joyful Starts relay was held for the young patients as well as environmental quizzes and a concert of the winners of Gazprom’s corporate Fakel Festival. In the end the young participants received gifts sent by the Gazprom Transgaz Saratov structural units: musical instruments, school supplies and sweets.
The participation of the Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol young specialists in the 6th musical environmental festival in the Kumysnaya Polyana natural park was another significant event. The festival program included cleaning and tidying up the Kumysnaya Polyana Park jointly with the Russian Geographical Society, which included the premises of the Rodnichok health and fitness center of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov. The festival ended in the performance of the best young rock bands of Saratov, school ecological theaters against the background of an art exhibition, reenactment of knight jousts, performance of the winners of Gazprom’s corporate Fakel Festival among amateur creative teams and performers.
Leonid Chernoshchyokov, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov sincerely thanked all the employees of his company who participated in the charity campaign and expressed his hope that gas workers would go on taking part in such events.
Background
Gazprom Transgaz Saratov is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company’s gas transmission system enables regulating and redistributing natural gas flows from Western Siberia, Central Asia, the Orenburg Region and three Saratov underground gas storage facilities. The company’s 215 gas distribution stations secure gas supply to the Saratov Region and partially to the Tambov and Penza Regions. The company’s personnel, which amounts to some 6 thousand people, maintains over 7 thousand kilometers of one-line gas trunklines and gas branches, 11 line pipe operation centers, 29 compressor workshops containing 169 gas compressor units with the installed capacity of 1.3 million KW and operates six CNG filling stations. The ISO 14001:2001 environmental management system is introduced at the company.
