News from projects and regions
Within the Gazprom for Children target program, Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol opened five children’s sports grounds in Ptichye village, Ryzdvyany settlement as well as Baklanovskaya, Novotroitskaya and Kamennobrodskaya settlements of the Stavropol Territory.
For the young residents of these localities the new sports facilities became yet another present from gas workers who take active part in developing social and sports infrastructure across the region. Outdoor sports grounds are modern versatile facilities, including the volleyball and basketball courts, parallel bars, horizontal bars and the jungle gym for the youngest athletes.
“Supporting and developing children’s sports is an essential component of Gazprom’s social policy, an investment into Russia’s healthy future,” noted Alexey Zavgorodnev, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol. “Our company actively participates in this work, contributing considerable sums to children’s and youth sports revival throughout our area of activity. What is most important for the gas workers is that the new grounds should never be empty, that children’s clear voices and ball bouncing should always be heard there and different competitions should be held.”
The opening of new sports grounds became a real holiday for the local population. The creative teams of the Culture and Sports Palace of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol prepared a concert for them. At the end of the holiday, the gas workers presented the children with sports equipment.
