Father Frost Hurries with a Present charity marathon ends at Gazprom VNIIGAZ

The annual winter charity marathon to support children’s institutions of the Leninsky District in the Moscow Region, which had started just before the New Year holidays, finished at Gazprom VNIIGAZ.
A number of charity campaigns were held within the marathon.
A campaign for collecting funds and toys for children from specialized children’s institutions of the Leninsky District in the Moscow Region was held among the company’s employees. Money, hygiene products, clothes and brain games were collected. A part of the funds collected by Gazprom VNIIGAZ employees was allocated for purchasing the necessary medical equipment, including nutrition probes and suction catheters for the Bakoulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
On December 10, 2013 a fair-sale of the New Year souvenirs made by the residents of the Solnyshko orphanage in Filimonki was established. All the employees of Gazprom VNIIGAZ had a chance to buy a handmade thing they liked, and all the money raised from the sale was allotted to purchasing educational supplies for children’s art.
On December 27, 2013 the Gazprom VNIIGAZ employees paid a charity visit to the children’s unit of the Vidnoye District Clinical Hospital. An entertaining performance with clowns and presents was organized for the little patients. In addition, money was donated to the somatic unit of the Vidnoye District Clinical Hospital for purchasing a necessary medical apparatus – an ultraviolet bactericidal irradiator for storing sterile medical devices.
On January 9, 2014 a holiday with a puppet show was organized for the children from the Leninsky District Organization of the All-Russian Society of Disabled People at the Vera social support center. The meeting ended in a festive dinner organized by the Gazprom VNIIGAZ employees, involving a part of funds raised within the campaign.

On January 15, 2014 the Gazprom VNIIGAZ employees visited the Filimonki orphanage residents, presented them with gifts and gave a master class in painting on water (Turkish art of Ebru).
Background
Gazprom VNIIGAZ, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, represents the Company’s research center dealing with technologies designing and developing for the gas industry including those intended for gas fields exploration and exploitation, offshore petroleum resources recovery, gas treatment and processing, regulatory support, design and operation of the gas transmission and underground storage system mathematic modeling and information technologies, environmental safety, energy efficiency and labor protection.
During the recent six years two times a year – in summer and in winter – Gazprom VNIIGAZ has been holding charity campaigns to support children from specialized children’s institutions and organizations of the Leninsky District of the Moscow Region as well as putting on exhibition fairs of children’s art at the Institute.
