Reciting Pushkin literature contest held under auspices of Gazprom Dobycha Irkutsk

Gazprom Dobycha Irkutsk traditionally acted as the primary sponsor of the Reciting Pushkin literature festival.

On October 19, founding day of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum over 120 young reciters from the Irkutsk city, the Cheremkhovo town as well as the Meget, Zalari and Kutulik settlements gathered in the Pushkin Central Children’s Library of Irkutsk. The participants presented poetry and prose by Alexander Pushkin to be approved by the jury. Despite a competitive format, the atmosphere of the event was friendly and creative.

Grand prix in two age categories were awarded to Nastya Demina, a second-grader from Meget who brilliantly recited an extract from The Tale about the Dead Princess and to Natasha Bugayeva, an eleventh-grader from Irkutsk for performing the Duel with Love poetry and music composition comprised of the verses of contemporary poets. The winners of the contest were given electronic book readers.

In addition, more than thirty winners in different contest nominations received audiobooks and printed issues containing Russian and foreign children’s fiction.

All the contest participants were presented with gifts from Gazprom Dobycha Irkutsk and diplomas.
