Background

The Mountain Olympic Village is located on the Psekhako Ridge 1,440 meters above the sea level. It can accommodate a total of 1,100 persons and consists of three parts: the hotel complex designed for 276 persons, apart-hotels and the cottage settlement – for 564 and 260 persons accordingly. The cottage settlement has already been commissioned. It was used during the 2011–2012 and 2012–2013 Russian and international competitions. The construction of the hotel complex and apart-hotels is nearing completion.

A five-kilometer branch of the Adler – Krasnaya Polyana high-pressure gas pipeline was constructed for supplying gas to the Mountain Olympic Village. The main part of the gas pipeline branch runs underground; gas pipeline crossings over mountain streams and motor roads are laid above the ground. Elevation differences are about 1 kilometer along the gas pipeline route.

The main boiler house equipment consists of three hot water boilers with an aggregate capacity of 10,500 KW.
