Astrakhan hosted cultural events for the locals of the Astrakhan Region under the Reviving Traditions corporate movement.
Taking part in the 2013 corporate movement were the Vereteno, Volzhskie Zori and Razdivye groups of the Viktoriya cultural center of Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan, winners and participants of the zonal round of Gazprom’s corporate Fakel Festival, namely, representatives of Gazprom Transgaz Belarus, Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol as well as lead singers of the Stanitsa and Buzuluk old Cossack song ensembles from Volgograd, and Astrakhan professional bands – the Mir Vashemu Domu and Tulpar folk dance ensembles, the Kurmangazy folk music ensemble.
All in all, more than ten events were held this year as part of the movement, including concert programs, entertaining folk programs and master classes for amateur creative teams.
As part of the festival, in 2013 the company prepared a historic exhibition from the Old Time Astrakhan series and, with the support the Dogadin Astrakhan State Art Gallery, a display of photographs by a famous Astrakhan artist Boris Kustodiev.

The Reviving Traditions corporate movement that came to life at Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan in April 2007 is aimed at promoting the interest in the indigenous art of the peoples of Russia among the contemporaries, sharing experience and strengthening cultural and business ties among Gazprom’s subsidiaries and affiliates. As part of the movement, over 70 cultural events in various forms were held: from entertaining programs and recitals to master classes and workshops meant for different spectators, such as children from boarding and secondary schools, specialized secondary educational establishments and higher educational institutions, employees of Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan, war and labor veterans and pensioners.
