Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk employees plant 194 thousand seedlings

The Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk employees planted a total of 194 thousand tree seedlings, according to the nine-month results of the Year of Ecology.

Most of the trees, namely 110,200 seedlings, were planted by the employees of the Tomsk Line Pipe Operation Center in the Tomsk, Krivosheino, Kargasok and Parabel Districts of the Tomsk Region under the Let’s Revive Forests Together campaign, which included joint actions of gas workers, pupils of the Governor’s Lyceum, pensioners and forestry workers. Together with Barnaul foresters and the Biysk Administration Environmental Division, the employees of the Altai Line Pipe Operation Center took part in planting over 55 thousand pine seedlings.

The personnel of the Kemerovo, Yurga and Novokuznetsk branches of the company together with the forestry workers planted 27 thousand trees in Kuzbass.

Owing to the team of the Alexandrovskoye Line Pipe Operation Center, the silver-fir, pine, rowan and birch seedlings will grow in the Nizhnevartovsk District of the Tyumen Region.

In the Far East the workers of the Primorye Line Pipe Operation Center planted in Dalnerechensk the Gas Worker Avenue consisting of cedar seedlings. The Khabarovsk branch of the company jointly with regional authorities, schoolchildren and companies took part in the large-scale planting of over a thousand trees.

“We reforested and greened up a total of 54 hectares of land. This equals about 100 football fields,” said Emine Pikulskaya, Head of the Environment Division of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk.
