13th Traditional International Boxing Tournament in tribute to Vladislav Strizhov finishes in Nadym on November 26

This year the competition brought together 148 sportsmen from Israel, the USA, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Lithuania and Kyrgyzstan.
The participants laid flowers at the monuments to Vladislav Strizhov – first Director General of the Nadymgazprom Production Association, in tribute to whom the tournament was held, and to Valery Remizov – Vladislav Strizhov’s successor to the post of the company’s Director and initiator of the tournament.

The fights took place during four days. The Olympic Champion Vyacheslav Yanovsky and the winner of the 1st World Championship Vladislav Zasypko were among the judging panel members.
Following the long-standing tradition, Nadym gas workers acted as the championship sponsors again. The competition has been fully sponsored under the Gazprom for Children program for the third year in a row. Such cooperation provides for the enhancement of tournament geographical representation, due to which sportsmen get an additional motivation for victory. Following Sergey Menshikov, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym, the company wouldn’t cease to pay great attention to sports and would continue to invest into the region sports development.
32 gold, 32 silver and 64 bronze medals were awarded. All the winners got prizes and souvenirs from the sponsor – Gazprom Dobycha Nadym. The Best Boxer of the Tournament title went to Nazhmudin Shamsudinov (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area). The company’s Director General Sergey Menshikov awarded him the special prize.
Background
Gazprom Dobycha Nadym is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom mainly focused on gas and gas condensate production and treatment.
The first gas production company in the northern region of Western Siberia, Gazprom Dobycha Nadym was set up to develop and operate the Medvezhye oil, gas and condensate field. Nowadays, Gazprom Dobycha Nadym also develops the Yubileynoye, Yamsoveyskoye and Bovanenkovskoye fields. The company holds the subsurface use license for the Kharasaveyskoye gas and condensate field which is currently at the pre-development stage.
The company’s area of activity covers the Nadym, Pur and Yamal Districts of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area. It is a city-forming enterprise for Nadym and Pangody settlement. The company employs over 9 thousand people.
The company comprises 12 operating gas field facilities and 15 specialized branches. The annual volume of natural gas production totals some 60 billion cubic meters. Gazprom Dobycha Nadym introduced the ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system.
