Results of 18th Severnoye Siyaniye Festival summarized in Yugorsk

The Movie and Concert Hall of the Nord Cultural and Sports Complex of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk hosted a gala concert of the 18th Severnoye Siyaniye (Northern Lights) Festival-Contest of amateur creative teams and performers.
The Severnoye Siyaniye Festival has been held since 1995. Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk is the main founder and sponsor of the Festival. In 1998 the corporate contest acquired the status of the regional festival.
About 600 contestants took part in the 18th Severnoye Siyaniye Festival-Contest of amateur creative teams and performers. 94 creative performances shown at the concert were marked according to four age categories in the Vocal, Instrumental Music and Choreography nominations.
Following the Festival results, the Grand Prix were awarded to the Lapushki dance band (Nord Cultural and Sports Complex, Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk), Anna Soltanova (Yubileyny Cultural Center, rotational camp operation center of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym) and Alexander Sklez (cultural and sports complex of the Pangodinskoye Line Pipe Operation Center of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk).
All in all, the jury members awarded 28 diplomas of the first degree, 32 – of the second degree, 27 – of the third degree and 4 certificates of participation in the festival-contest. There were also special awards.

I would like to thank the creative teams and the high jury for this feast of art and creativity!” said Pyotr Sozonov, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk at the awarding ceremony.
The creative teams and performers from Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk – winners of the 18th Severnoye Siyaniye Festival-Contest – will participate in the zonal round of the Corporate Fakel Festival (the contest of amateur creative teams of Gazprom) in 2014.
Background
Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. It comprises 41 branches, 28 of which are located in the areas of the Far North and localities with similar environmental conditions. The company operates and maintains 27 thousand kilometers (the total length of all strings) of gas trunklines with the diameter from 1,020 to 1,420 millimeters, 220 compressor shops and 1,168 gas compressor units with the total installed capacity of 15.7 thousand MW.
