On January 14 Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol held a charitable Christmas celebration. 200 children from orphanages, boarding schools, social rehabilitation centers for minors visited the gas workers. Taking part in the celebration were also 250 Sunday school pupils, as well as children from multi-child and low-income families.
The Christmas celebration started with a Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Nativity constructed by gas workers. Kirill, Metropolitan of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk and Alexey Zavgorodnev, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol congratulated children at the concert held in the Culture and Sports Palace of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol. Young guests were given presents.
A tradition to hold Christmas and Easter celebrations for orphaned children and Sunday school pupils started at Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol in 2000. In the course of these years, some 10,000 children have visited charitable celebrations organized by gas workers.
